About

About Alison

Alison is a seasoned professional bringing over 30 years of college admissions experience. After spending 22 years as an admissions leader at St. Lawrence University, she served for 10 years as the director of college counseling at the Taft School, her alma mater. In both positions, Alison has served on leadership teams for her institutions and has been an active member of our state and national professional organizations.

Alison is committed to serving students and their families as they navigate the selective admissions process. She embraces a student-centered approach encouraging students to own their process in an authentic way. The college process is a rite of passage, a chance for students to understand who they are and what they are seeking. That journey allows students to more effectively present themselves in their applications and, ultimately, make the best enrollment decision for them.

Alison’s expertise includes all aspects of the application process: academic and extracurricular review, list development (including research and visits,) essay work, interviewing skills, crafting a strong application, and guidance during the decision process.
